First off, HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY to all Nigerians out there including me. A very Big SHOUT-OUT!!! to all the beautiful Nigerian people out there, who deserve ACCOLADES.. lol so in continuation of yesterday…
We’ve become consumed with comparisons, we compare our relationships. Some mentally, some physically, some the both. Instead of thinking of ways to make it better. We have forgotten that It’s a process, It’s a journey , a long one and there’ll be different routes, challenges, the car might break down, it may need more gas before it finally arrives at it’s destination.
Let’s take it a bit further, a lot of ladies are looking for the PERFECT MAN, MADE MAN that will take care of them, spoil them. Don’t get me wrong, It’s not bad for your man to spend on you but what if he doesn’t have…”I’LL LEAVE..I CAN SENSE SOMEONE HAULING”. The most annoying part is that some ladies now even see it as a sense of entitlement. First date oh, they’ll order double of what the guy ordered and even ask for take away for their room mates. Some will celebrate anniversary every two weeks…hmmm
Now let’s holup and talk of this sense of entitlement. Our generation has so misplaced relationship priorities that each gender now SUPPOSEDLY has a sense of entitlement. Most of The ladies feel they’re entitled to gifts, goodies without giving back in return. Most of The guys feel if they spoil you or not, they;’re entitled to SEX in the relationship.
Tracing the roots from here, we can see how our problems started. Most ladies now feel sex is the ultimate. Once a guy is getting it, there’s no need to leave. Well I think that mentality doesn’t exist no more, the guys have moved and they want PEACE OF MIND. You take out the SEX in most relationships and you find out that both parties are just fooling around. Well that’s expected because the definitions of relationships in itself have been misplaced. Nobody wants to push the other to succeed, nobody wants to challenge each other, no bonding, no companionship…I forgot to add no friendships. Everybody just want to have fun, have sex, pass time and take in what life brings. Which brings us to the next problem.
The high rate of divorce, unfulfillment in marriages, the trending baby mamas and baby daddy’s, the never aging bachelor and spinster…
