My name is… – Leina la me ke …

Where are you from? – Ko gae ke kae?

I’m from… – Ke tswa ko…

Good morning – Dumela rra (M) / Dumela mma (F)

Good afternoon – Thupama e e monate

Good evening – Muitsibowa a a monate

Goodnight – Boroko / Robala Sentle (Sleep well)

Goodbye – Tsamaya sentle(go well) / Sala sentle (stay well) 

Have a nice day – Tlhola sentle

Do you speak Tswana? – A o bua Setswana?

Sorry – Ke kopa tshwarelo

Please – Tswêê-tswêê

Thank you – Ke a leboga rra (M) / Ke a leboga mma (F)

Yes – Ee

No – Nnyaa
