KINSHASA
Kinshasa is the capital city of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This city is inhabited by over ten million people and is characterized by great energetic and buzzing nightlife.

Kinshasa is situated at the banks of the great Congo River where you can enjoy a boat ride on the Congo river or have a picnic with friends and family on the river bank. You can also enjoy the rich cultural lifestyle of Congo inside this city.
GARAMBA NATIONAL PARK
Garamba National Park is located in the northeastern part of Congo. This National Park is characterized by an array of continual savannas, grassland and forests.

The National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has amazing wildlife such as elephants, hippopotamus, giraffes, elephants, and was home to the last population of white rhinoceros.
LOLA YA BONOBO
This is a wildlife sanctuary made for one of the four categories of great apes, the bonobos. The bonobos in this sanctuary are orphaned ones who were recovered from illegal human activities such as hunting and trading the bonobos.

The sanctuary covers a land mass of 30 hectares with different feeding stations mapped out. The sanctuary staff tries to recover as many bonobos yearly as possible to save this species from illegal human activities.
NYIRAGONGO VOLCANO
Nyiragongo volcano is located near Lake Kivu at Goma town in Congo. This volcano is an active volcano which covers over 3000 meters erupting 34 times in the last 130 years.
This volcano is characterized by its deep crater where the lava lake is situated producing eruptions with fast-moving extremely fluid lava that flows and covers a large mass of land.
This volcanic center has left a lot of people who live around homeless by displacing them whenever it erupts.
LAKE KIVU
Lake Kivu is situated between Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda and is one of the great lakes in Africa as it is the sixth largest lake in Africa. Lake Kivu is a freshwater lake covering 2700 square kilometers and contains many islands with Idjwi which is the largest.

The Lake is surrounded by vegetation with lots of eucalyptus and banana trees.
VIRUNGA NATIONAL PARK
Virunga National Park was established in 1925, making it the oldest National Park in Africa. It shares borders with Rwanda and Uganda. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site with a great diversity of vegetation and wildlife.

Animals such as lions, elephants, antelopes, hippopotamus, buffaloes and the Okapi which is a native mammal species to Congo.
